The 18th Annual Watermill Summer Benefit

Water Mill - The Watermill Center will once again bring together the worlds of theater, art, fashion, design, and society for Voluptuous Panic: The 18th Annual Watermill Summer Benefit. Benefit artists and Watermill International Summer Program Participants from over 30 different countries will create six acres of installations and performances throughout the grounds of Watermill during the event. The funds raised will support The Watermill Center's International Summer Program and Fall/Spring Residency Program, providing a unique environment for young and emerging artists to explore and develop their work.

Beginning at 6 p.m., on Saturday, July 30 the evening will include cocktails, courtesy of Bacardi USA, a silent auction, performances, art installations, dinner, dancing and a live auction hosted by auctioneer Simon de Pury, Chairman, Phillips de Pury & Company. The evening will end with guests dancing under the stars in the auction tent. This year's silent and live auction will include over 75 lots from emerging and established artists including Marina Abramovic, Hans Arpstrong, Mary Heilmann, Arturo Herrerastron, Robert Longo, Christian Marclaystrong, Adam McEwen, Malcolm Morleystrong, Olivier Mosset, Robert Lazzarini, Tim Rollins + K.O.S., David Sallestrong, Andres Serrano, Taryn Simon, Philippe Starck, and Robert Wilson, with special lots created in celebration of Robert Wilson's 70th Birthday.

'Voluptuous Panic' will be fearless this summer and will inspire the fashion, as it is the dress code for the evening. It will be a true festival of the arts and performance all to benefit Watermill and its mission to provide a unique environment for young and emerging artists to explore new ideas and foster their career development. Summer Participants will include Carrie McGrath, Molly Weiss, Olga Generalova, Gjorje Jovanovik, and Santiago Taccetti.

Honorary Chairs are Marina Abramovic, Jane Adams, Pedro Almodóvar, Laurie Anderson, David Bowie and Iman, Steve Buscemi, Chuck Close, Bob Colacello, Alan Cumming, Willem Dafoe, Christophe de Menil, Jimmy Fallon, Jonathan Safran Foer and Nicole Krauss, Frank Gehry, Philip Glass, Nan Goldin, Zaha Hadid, Antony Hegarty, H.R.H. Princess Caroline of Hanover, Anjelica Huston, Jenny Holzer, Bianca Jagger, Norah Jones, Harvey Keitel, Kylie Minogue, Jessye Norman, Mary-Louise Parker, Charlotte Rampling, Lou Reed, Charles Renfro, Isabella Rossellini, Sharon Stone, James Turrell, Viktor & Rolf, Dita von Teese, and Rufus Wainwright.

The gift bag will be provided by Aesop USA, Inc. in collaboration with The Watermill Center.

Drinks will be provided by Bacardi USA, Mouton Rothschild, Stella Artois, Izzie.
