Westhampton Beach - The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center continues to bring outstanding entertainment to the East End of Long Island and proudly announces the launch of its 2011 Summer Season.

Showcasing national and international performing artists from a dazzling array of genres and cultures, along with a hilarious line-up of comedians, an astounding artistic dance company, an extraordinary tour-de-force theatre performance, and for the first time ever, a one-ring family circus under a charming "Big Top" on the Village Green in Westhampton Beach, the WHBPAC invites you to celebrate the transformative power of the arts. From folk to pop, classical to rock, jazz to cabaret and even theatre, this texturally rich season offers something for everyone!

This year's impressive program spans big names like Wynonna and Elvis Costello & The Imposters to up-and-comers like smooth jazz crooner Sachal Vasandani and acclaimed musician and producer Daniel Lanois' reggae-infused music project, "Black Dub."

Also making their PAC premiere this season are "A Prairie Home Companion" humorist, Garrison Keillor; masterful musician and lyricist, Josh Ritter; cigar-smoking, scotch-drinking comedian Ron White; Americana rock duo, Indigo Girls; the American band, Grand Funk Railroad and "30 Rock" star, Jane Krakowski in her enchanting cabaret-style show.

Audience favorites returning to the PAC this summer include the queen of comedy, Rita Rudner; musical theatre royalty, Patti LuPone in her one-woman show "The Gypsy in my Soul;" legendary guitar-slinger, Kenny Loggins; Broadway's last leading man, Brian Stokes Mitchell; spontaneously witty comedienne Paula Poundstone; the most satisfying Beatles tribute band, Fab Faux; velvet-voiced song stylist Steve Tyrell; profanely hilarious Red Carpet queen, Joan Rivers; the breathtaking young vocal stars of New York City Opera; the toast of Broadway, Kelli O'Hara; master trumpeter Chris Botti; the imaginative modern dance company, Pilobolus; British folk legend, Richard Thompson and celebrated blues ambassador, Keb' Mo'. Barenaked Ladies hit the stage on Sunday, August 14, Lindsey Buckingham on Friday, September 23 and Jackson Browne on Friday, October 14.

The Center is also teaming up with The Hampton Synagogue to bring audiences the award-winning, tour-de-force, one-woman show, "Golda's Balcony," a riveting portrait of the legendary Golda Meir.

The Center's wonderful Family and Children's events include Zoppé, a charming Italian Family Circus under an enchanting "Big Top" on the Village Green in Westhampton Beach during the last weekend of July, and Angelina Ballerina, a delightful musical theatre experience for the whole family!

WHBPAC's "Finest In World Cinema" series continues in July with outstanding current-release foreign, independent, documentary and art house films screened throughout the summer on most Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The weekly cinematic adventures lead by Andrew Botsford and friends also continues with Tuesday Night at the Movies with Andrew & Friends.

As a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) arts organization, the Center relies on its essential fundraising initiatives to ensure that the lights stay up and the curtain is always open. This year's Special Events include WHBPAC's 9th Annual Golf Tournament and cocktail party at the Westhampton Country Club, the breathtaking 8th Annual WHBPAC House and Garden Tour, featuring the finest Hamptons' homes and gardens and a thrilling encore of last year's successful "Be Our Guest" Cocktail Party and Gala Fundraiser, the summer's most elegant affair.

The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center is honored to host such talented performing artists and elegant events this season. The organization strives to remain true to its founding principles: to entertain and inspire through the arts and to serve as a catalyst to significantly enhance cultural tourism in the area. Purchase your tickets early to guarantee the most desirable seats and experience the exquisite intimacy of The Center's jewel-box-of-a-theatre!
