Westhampton Beach - The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center continues to bring outstanding entertainment to the East End of Long Island and proudly announces the launch of its 2011 Summer Season.
Showcasing national and international performing artists from a dazzling array of genres and cultures, along with a hilarious line-up of comedians, an astounding artistic dance company, an extraordinary tour-de-force theatre performance, and for the first time ever, a one-ring family circus under a charming "Big Top" on the Village Green in Westhampton Beach, the WHBPAC invites you to celebrate the transformative power of the arts. From folk to pop, classical to rock, jazz to cabaret and even theatre, this texturally rich season offers something for everyone!
This year's impressive program spans big names like
Wynonna and
Elvis Costello & The Imposters to up-and-comers like smooth jazz crooner
Sachal Vasandani and acclaimed musician and producer
Daniel Lanois' reggae-infused music project, "Black Dub."

Barenaked Ladies hit the stage on Sunday, August 14,
Lindsey Buckingham on Friday, September 23 and
Jackson Browne on Friday, October 14.
The Center is also teaming up with The Hampton Synagogue to bring audiences the award-winning, tour-de-force, one-woman show, "Golda's Balcony," a riveting portrait of the legendary
Golda Meir.
The Center's wonderful Family and Children's events include
Zoppé, a charming Italian Family Circus under an enchanting "Big Top" on the Village Green in Westhampton Beach during the last weekend of July, and
Angelina Ballerina, a delightful musical theatre experience for the whole family!
WHBPAC's "Finest In World Cinema" series continues in July with outstanding current-release foreign, independent, documentary and art house films screened throughout the summer on most Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The weekly cinematic adventures lead by
Andrew Botsford and friends also continues with Tuesday Night at the Movies with Andrew & Friends.
As a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) arts organization, the Center relies on its essential fundraising initiatives to ensure that the lights stay up and the curtain is always open. This year's Special Events include WHBPAC's 9th Annual Golf Tournament and cocktail party at the Westhampton Country Club, the breathtaking 8th Annual WHBPAC House and Garden Tour, featuring the finest Hamptons' homes and gardens and a thrilling encore of last year's successful "Be Our Guest" Cocktail Party and Gala Fundraiser, the summer's most elegant affair.
