"This is not just another concert series," explained Southampton Arts Center Director of Programs, Amy Kirwin. "Our idea is to make each evening about more than the sounds of different genres and cultures, but also the flavors and customs that inspire the music."
The lively series will kick-off on Saturday, October 15th at 7 p.m. with Latin from Manhattan: Afro-Cuban Jazz and Beyond
. The debut will feature dynamic, unique sounds of the genre, Afro-Cuban Jazz, and will highlight music from numerous well-known Latin Jazz innovators - like Dizzy Gillespie, Chano Pozo, Machito, Mario Bauza, and Chico O'Farrill.

lineup includes Ada Rovatti, Alex Sipiagin
, Nestor Milanes, Steve Shaughnessy, The Jam Session co-founder Claes Brondal, and Geraldo Flores, just to name a few.

, and refreshments will also be available, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
"It will be an experience for the ears, eyes, and mouth," added Kirwin.
