Romancing Your Crush Through Music: Five Valentine’s Day Weekend East End Concerts

Set the mood this Valentine's Day weekend by bringing your love to one of these East End shows.

Sylvester Manor Educational Farm is hosting an evening of acoustic music featuring Barbecue Bruce and the Brisket Brothers at Shelter Island's American Legion Hall (1 Bateman Road, Shelter Island) on Saturday, February 13th at 6 p.m. and again at 8 p.m. Set in a casual "pub" setting, the concert will include jug band music, country blues, folk, Tin Pan Alley and contemporary tunes played by Bruce MacDonald, Dan Skabeikis and Lindsay Reeve. Martha Clara Vineyards (6025 Sound Avenue, Riverhead) will have a double dose of Valentine's Day weekend shows on Saturday. The performances start with The Michael Thomas Duo, who will perform a mix of jazz, standards, contemporary and Latin music from 1 to 4 p.m. Contemporary Jazz Guitarist Matt Marshak will headline Martha Clara Vineyards Sound on Sound Concert Series at 7 p.m. For more information, visit www.marthaclaravineyards.com.

On Sunday, the Quogue Library (90 Quogue Street, Quogue) will welcome the Tom Manuel Jazz Trio for the greatest jazz standards written for, to, and about the ladies we all love. Advanced registration is required for the show. For more information, visit www.quoguelibrary.org.

The Shelter Island Friends of Music is presenting A Valentine's Day Special: "Heart & Soul" featuring Russian Cellist, Dmitry Kouzov. Taking place at the Shelter Island Presbyterian Church (32 North Ferry Road, Shelter Island), the afternoon will include music by Bach, Beethoven, Schumann, Debussy, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov and Rostropovich.
