Jazz at Lincoln Center is holding a special event in Bridgehampton this summer. From Havana to the Hamptons, taking place on Friday, August 14th, will celebrate Live in Cuba, which is the first album release of the newly formed Blue Engine Records.

Co-chairs Greg Ammon and Valentino D. Carlotti, as well as Jazz at Lincoln Center's Rhythm Club and Swing! Committee are co-hosting the evening, which will feature a cocktail party with live music from critically acclaimed Afro-Cuban percussionist Pedrito Martinez and a VIP seated dinner.

"I am thrilled to co-host an event celebrating the release of the first album from Jazz at Lincoln Center's archive and music library, named in honor of my father," Ammon said. "This event also allows us to introduce new friends to jazz in support of the incredible performances and education programs produced by Jazz at Lincoln Center each year."

Jazz at Lincoln Center is dedicated to expanding the global community of jazz through performance, education and advocacy. Blue Engine Records is a new initiative by Jazz at Lincoln Center to release studio and live recordings. It will also release recordings from Jazz at Lincoln Center's performance history, dating back to 1987.

Live in Cuba features the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, who performed for sold-out crowds over three nights at the Mella Theater in Havana, back in October 2010. Guests at From Havana to the Hamptons will receive an exclusive digital download of Live in Cuba, which is set to be released on Friday, August 21st.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the performances and education programs that Jazz at Lincoln Center provides. "I look forward to joining forces on this very special evening with Greg Ammon, the Rhythm Club, and Swing! Committee to celebrate the release of 'Live in Cuba' in Bridgehampton," Carlotti said.

From Havana to the Hamptons will be held on Friday, August 14th at 6 p.m. Tickets are $125 for the performance and cocktail party; $200 for the performance, cocktail party, exclusive digital download and album; and $1,000 for cocktail party, VIP seated dinner, concert, exclusive digital download and album.

From Havana to the Hamptons will take place at 750 Halsey Lane in Bridgehampton. For more information, visit www.jazz.org.

Hampton Luxury Liner
Hampton Luxury Liner was started in 2000 as a more luxurious way to travel from NYC to the Hamptons and back. The clientele quickly grew and over the years Hampton Luxury liner became the preferred method of transportation to the Hamptons and NYC for many living in NYC and the Hamptons that wanted a comfortable and affordable way to travel back and forth. In 2009, HLL was taken over by Classic Coach and things with the liner didnít change to much for years and the owner there changed the buses to Prevost as opposed to Mercedes Setra Top Class Coaches that have always been a signature of the liner.
