The Wailers, Jamaica's most iconic band, is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the album "Legend" and Bob Marley's 70th birthday. On Sunday, July 12th at 8 p.m., the Wailers is bringing their melodic reggae rhythms and classic hits like "Stir It Up," "I Shot the Sheriff," "Get Up, Stand Up," "Redemption Song" and "Buffalo Soldier" to the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center (WHBPAC). Led by original member Aston "Family Man" Barrett, the Wailers will take the stage at WHBPAC to showcase Marley's vision of peace, love and equality through their music.

Along with the late Bob Marley, the Wailers helped pioneered the roots rock reggae genre into what it is today. Together with Bob Marley, the Wailers have sold over 250 million albums worldwide. The band has performed with international acts including Sting, the Fugees, Stevie Wonder, and Carlos Santana, and also reggae greats like Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, and Burning Spear.

For more than four decades, the Wailers has brought Marley's legacy and the nobility, passion and open-mindedness of his music to fans across the globe. "Reggae music represents the struggling man: oppressed and denied the right to live as God intended," Dwayne Anglin recently told The Columbia Heart Beat. "Since its creation, not much has changed. Therefore, those who best relate to the struggle will typically gravitate to reggae music; specifically, "Legend," which is the most successful reggae album of all time."

Tickets are $30, $45 and $60.

WHBPAC is located at 76 Main Street in Westhampton Beach. For more information, call 631-288-1500 or visit www.whbpac.org.

Hampton Luxury Liner
Hampton Luxury Liner was started in 2000 as a more luxurious way to travel from NYC to the Hamptons and back. The clientele quickly grew and over the years Hampton Luxury liner became the preferred method of transportation to the Hamptons and NYC for many living in NYC and the Hamptons that wanted a comfortable and affordable way to travel back and forth. In 2009, HLL was taken over by Classic Coach and things with the liner didn’t change to much for years and the owner there changed the buses to Prevost as opposed to Mercedes Setra Top Class Coaches that have always been a signature of the liner.
