On Friday, June 26th at 6 p.m., Richie Seigler’s Quartet will bring the sounds of Latin/Brazilian-influenced jazz to the Hamptons during the Parrish Art Museum’s 2015 summer outdoor music series. The Quartet will be featured as part of the second Jazz en Plein Air concert of the season.
Seigler has been drumming since he was 4-years-old and is the organizer of the Jazz en Plein Air series. The percussionist is also the founding director of Escola de Samba BOOM, a fifty-member percussion group dedicated to the rhythms and joys of Brazilian Samba.
The annual concert series is a laid back scene, where attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, pack food and drinks and just sit back and enjoy the music. All museum concerts are free with museum admission.
This summer series will continue on Friday, July 31st with Hendrik Meurkens and his Samba Jazz Quartet and Friday, August 28th with Alex Sipiagin.
