Back by popular demand, “Fireside Sessions with Nancy Atlas and a special guest” is returning to Bay Street Theater and the Sag Harbor Center for the Arts in 2015. The weekly music sessions will once again feature a different special guest at each show in January and March. So far, performers will include Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, Clark Gayton, Brian Mitchell, violinist Randi Fishenfeld and Bill Sims Jr., Billy Campion and Billy Ryan.
“We wanted to offer this popular series again in 2015,” Gary Hygom, producer at Bay Street Theater, said. “They are a perfect way to keep warm on a Friday night and just have a good time with the music.”
Altas, a Montauk local who has been leading the East End music scene with her band, The Nancy Atlas Project, is known for her live performances and original songwriting. She has opened for everyone from Elvis Costello and Lucinda Williams to Jimmy Buffett and Stills and Nash, and many more.
“Everyone who came last year is eagerly waiting for this year,” Hygom said. “Everyone should come out and have some fun this winter.”
“Fireside Sessions with Nancy Atlas and a special guest” debuts with Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith on Friday, January 2, 2015. General admission seating is $20 per session.
