The Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival
, Long Island's longest running classical music festival, is holding 11 events preformed by both new and distinguished artists. The festival will be held July 26 to August 19, holding a free concert by a string quartet, Brooklyn Rider on opening day.
The New Yorker has pinned this festival as, "a piquant mix of classical and modern works," as it consists of chamber music by the best, Bach
, Beethoven, Hayden and Brahms, as well as new composers, Czech composers Dvořák and Martinů, Gerard Beljon, Colin Jacobsen and Giya Kancheli. Along with the diverse set of chamber music, there will be an assemblage of talented musicians such as violinist Joseph Lin, cellist Carter Brey, flutist Marya Martin
and pianist Orion Weiss.
