Westhampton beach - The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center continues to bring outstanding entertainment to the East End of Long Island and proudly announces the launch of its 2012 Mainstage Season.

Showcasing award-winning, national and international performing artists from a dazzling array of genres, a hilarious line-up of top-selling comedians, an astounding multimedia dance company and an award-winning humorist, and bringing back the magical one-ring family circus under the charming "Big Top" on the Great Lawn in Westhampton Beach, the WHBPAC invites you to celebrate the transformative power of the arts. From folk to pop, classical to rock, jazz to cabaret and even dance, this texturally rich season offers something for everyone!

For those who enjoy the smooth sounds of jazz, cabaret and the Great American Songbook, there's Italian baritone Patrizio Buanne; modern jazz guitarist and singer John Pizzarelli; the rich and sultry songstress Dianne Reeves; multi-Grammy Award-winning jazz saxophonist Wayne Shorter and his Quartet featuring Danilo Perez, John Patitucci and Brian Blade; Grammy Award-winning vocalist and songwriter Steve Tyrell; Latin jazz guitarist (and former New York Yankee) Bernie Williams; Emmy and Tony Award-winning Broadway star Bebe Neuwirth in "Stories with Piano;" improvisational jazz guitar genius Pat Metheny with his ensemble, the Unity Band, featuring Chris Potter, Antonio Sanchez & Ben Williams; Grammy Award-winning jazz trumpet superstar Wynton Marsalis and his Quartet; and multi-talented Emmy Award-winner Megan Mullally in her postmodern cabaret-show-gone-mad.

Offerings for the "Guitar God" lovers include funky, hip, and fresh sounds from the 21st-century's newest blues guitarist Gary Clark, Jr.; joyful, mellow grooves from five-time Grammy Award-winning reggae royalty Ziggy Marley; young Grammy Award-winning bluesman Jonny Lang; southern contemporary blues master The Robert Cray Band; Grammy Award-winning Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh; the gifted young guitarist, vocalist, and Australia's Got Talent-winner Joe Robinson; guitar-man-of-the-stars and musical luminary David Bromberg; and modern day's Grammy Award-winning blues ambassador Keb' Mo'.

For the indie-pop fans, there's a solo performance from Grammy Award-winning "new-folk" troubadour Shawn Colvin; British buzz band Scars on 45; Grammy Award-winning rock band The Wallflowers, fronted by Jakob Dylan; Grammy-nominated pop icon Rufus Wainwright and his Band; the new generation jamband Trigger Hippy, featuring vocalist Joan Osborne, Black Crowes drummer Steve Gorman, Nashville writer and producer Will Kimbrough and bassist Nick Gorvik; and the totally original, alt-country chanteuse k.d. lang and the siss boom bang.

For those who enjoy the music of years gone by, there's the greatest Beatle's cover band Fab Faux; and the flawless harmonies of Doo-Wop's own Larry Chance & The Earls Co-Starring Jay Siegel's The Tokens.

Classical music offerings include an intimate recital from the reigning queen of dramatic sopranos Deborah Voigt; and a holiday concert featuring the angelic voices of the Vienna Boys Choir.

Laugh till your sides hurt with Comedy Central's highest rated stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan; big man on the comedy scene John Pinette; and Grammy Award-nominated humorist and bestselling author David Sedaris.

There's always something for the entire family to enjoy such as the most charming show on earth, Zoppé - An Italian Family Circus, on the Great Lawn; the award-winning, multi-media, contemporary dance company Momix; multi-faceted new-vaudevillians The Flying Karamazov Brothers; and a charming adaptation of the beloved classic ballet, The Nutcracker "Sweet!" just in time for the Holidays!
