Westhampton Beach - Back and better than ever, rock and roll legend Blondie will perform at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center on Sunday, September 5 at 8:30 p.m. in the Mollie Parnis Auditorium.

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006, music, style and pop culture icons and best selling recording artists, Blondie emerged from the late 1970s new wave punk scene in New York City and defied easy categorization. With great rock hooks and brilliant, ironic lyrics, they were also known for their hip clothes and the cool hair. Lead singer, Debbie Harry went from the pages of Punk magazines to the cover of just about every mainstream publication on the newsstands. With multiple #1 smash hits like "Heart of Glass," "One Way Or Another," "Call Me," "Rapture" and "Maria," the band has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide. The song "Maria" made Blondie the only artist to have a #1 hit in the UK in each of three decades, further proving their relevance and staying power. The band's influence on today's artists is undeniable. Harry and Blondie have been a major influence on superstars like Madonna, Garbage's Shirley Manson and R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe, among many others.
