East Hampton - Come warm up this winter to Mayfair Gallery's newest collaboration, "About Face." Six young emerging artists share with you six unique interpretations of face, figure, and mind. From the inner psyche to the candid camera this show will be well enjoyed by the playful yet introspective viewer. Opening reception is January 30 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and there will be something for everyone. Food and drinks will be served, and a special live performance by Andrina Smith will start at 6:30 p.m. Come celebrate your local art culture, and feel good about supporting your local artists and the victims of the Haitian earthquake. A portion of all proceeds will go directly to the Haitian Relief Fund.

Local and urban portrait artists include Gabriela Trueba, from Ecuador, who explores expression through medium. Graham Loper is a Baltimore based artist who has a keen interest in history and enigma. Leat Klingman, from Israel, explores the juxtaposition between her simple childlike technique and her harsher modern subject inquiries. Molly Morgan Weiss from Sag Harbor utilizes visual metaphors to explore human relationships and exposes enough of the subject to allow viewers to construct their own narrative. Local photo artists include Lauren Wilde Acquino, from East Hampton, who studies the links between identity and materialism. Heather Whelan, from Sag Harbor, is endlessly capturing, questioning, and studying human behavior through a candid lens.
