Southampton Cultural Center Has Something For Everyone This Month

Southampton - The Southampton Cultural Center has announced that they have something for everyone this month. Take your pick from their holiday party, chamber music series, or the PYO's annual holiday concert, and an art exhibit by one of a favorite local artist.

A Winter Triple Play is available as a package or as single tickets and are valid for all performances. Best pre-holiday are selling at a 20 percent discount. Go to www.southamptonculturalcenter.org for more information on the performances and online ticketing.

Southampton Cultural Center Chamber Series
The 2009-2010 Southampton Cultural Center Chamber Series opens in December with:

 • SCC Chamber Players on Sunday, December 13 at p.m.
 • Yarn/Wire on Saturday, December 19 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 general admission/$10 students/seniors - cash or check only. More information on the series and its performers can be found on the website.

Peconic Youth Orchestra's Annual Holiday Concert
On Sunday, December 20 at 3 p.m. at the Levitas Center for the Arts. Join the Prelude and PYO Orchestra for a special concert also featuring members of the Long Island Opera. This is a free concert but donations for the orchestra are appreciated.

Art Exhibit
Joanne Rosko "Beaches, Bays and Backroads." Rosko stated "I have a passion for landscapes. The light is fleeting, as are seasons. I attempt to capture a moment of time and express its impression on me." The exhibit opens December 7 and runs through December 14, and is open weekdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and weekends from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. An opening reception will be held on Friday, December 11 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Please note that the Southampton Artists Association is now having a members show at the Levtitas Gallery at the Southampton Cultural Center through December 5th,2009. The show hours are noon 'til 4pm Mondays through Thursdays, and noon 'til 6pm Fridays through Sundays.
