Southampton - Marilyn Stevenson of Southampton will be exhibiting a series of her photographs at the Levitas Center For The Arts at the Southampton Cultural Center.

The show will be a selection of 27 color photographs inspired by and photographed at the world renowned "Presby Memorial Iris Garden" in Montclair, New Jersey. Displaying the beauty of the Iris reminds us of the pleasures of spring. The vision of the Iris is a long lasting treat for the senses. Levenson has created a photographic garden in bloom at the Levitas Center For The Arts.

The exhibit entitled "Iris Fields" will be on view from Sept. 26 through Oct. 11. A wine and cheese reception will be held Saturday, Oct. 10, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Southampton Cultural Center, 25 Pond Lane, Southampton. All are welcome to attend.

Levenson studied photography at the International Center for Photography and Southampton College. She is currently assistant director of New Century Artist Gallery in New York City. She received an honorable mention award from "Women in Photography International" this past August in their Summer 2009 Children juried show. Additional work of Levenson's can also be seen at the East End Arts Council's annual juried show at 133 Main Street in Riverhead through Oct. 10.
