East Hampton - The
LongHouse Reserve Landscape Award will be presented to
Elizabeth Barlow Rogers on Oct. 3 at LongHouse, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
As Founder and President of
Central Park Conservancy, Betsy is credited with transforming the once neglected park into the treasure it has become. Of her many books and essays, her encyclopedic "Landscape Design: A Cultural and Architectural History" has become a classic. She founded The Graduate School of Landscape Design at Bard College and is President of the Foundation for Landscape Studies. Betsy is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards including the American Academy of Arts and Letters Awards for Distinguished Service to the Arts, Brooklyn Botanical Garden Better Earth Award and the American Society of Landscape Architects LaGasse Medal.
