Southampton - Famed graphic artist Milton Glaser's "Seeing Things" exhibit has been extended to Thursday, Sept. 17, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., in recognition of the Animal Rescue Fund's new fundraising endeavor.

This year's ARF Pet Calendar, with cover art by Glaser of his beloved cat Annie, was previewed on Sept. 12 at a special party at the ARF Adoption Center in Wainscott. It's available starting next month at ARF, local stores and online at www.arfhamptons.org for $25 each.

For more information about the Avram Gallery call 631-632-5088.

Opening in early May on the cusp of his 80th birthday, "Seeing Things" is a show of Glaser's drawings, watercolors, prints, giclées, and sketchbooks, and a collection of arts-related posters, all created over a span of 50 years.

The most recent work, never before exhibited, is a series called "Black Prints." These large giclées challenge the viewer to discover images hidden in a field of closely related dark tonalities.

The show also includes a collection of small-scale, limited-edition giclées selected from Glaser's most recent book, "Drawing is Thinking." Signed books will be available at the gallery.
