On Saturday, March 3, The White Room Gallery in Bridgehampton will host the reception for Kat O’Neill’s solo exhibition, KAT WALK. The exhibit, which first opened on Saturday, February 24, features O’Neill’s abstract works and street art presented through mixed media. Her work will remain on view at the gallery until Sunday, March 11.
O’Neill is a writer, photographer, an award-winning mixed media artist, and the co-director/partner of The White Room Gallery. The solo exhibition will feature her work from over the years, with varied images of graffiti, tombstones, a scene from Rikers Island presented as photographs or mixed media pieces.
Her work has been featured in The New York Times and exhibited at museums locally – Guild Hall, Cold Harbor Whaling Museum, Ashawagh Hall, nationally, and internationally. In addition to photography, O’Neill contributes to the East Hampton Star as a fiction writer.

To complement the show, the gallery will serve signature “KATails” at the celebratory soiree. They list possible side effects as an “inflated perception of one’s wit,” “a compelling urge to try out unchartered dance moves,” and “confusion as to whether you are looking at one piece of fine are or two.”
