Calling all artists: entries are currently being accepted for the 9th Annual Hamptons Juried Art Show at the RJD Gallery in Bridgehampton.
The high anticipated show attracts submissions from across the world. Last year’s Hamptons Juried Art Show drew applications from 70 artists who submitted over 200 works.
Richard Demato, owner of the RJD Gallery; Eve Gianni, RJD Gallery Director; and Margaret Bowland, artist and New York Academy of Art adjunct faculty member, will serve as this year’s jurors.
“The Annual Retreat Juried Art Show enables us to raise community awareness, and funding, for the victims, ‘the children and women,’ of domestic violence,” Demato noted. “Our artists and we want to be a part of Where HOPE begins and the Violence ends!”
Works must be original creations, and accepted mediums include works on paper, photography, sculpture and paintings.
Selected artwork will be highlighted in a group show at RJD Gallery that opens on May 19, 2018. Hamptons Juried Art Show features will be available for purchase during the duration of the exhibition.
Proceeds from all entry fees will be donated to The Retreat, the East End’s only domestic violence agency, who will use proceeds towards their 24-hour hotline, legal advocacy, counseling, emergency shelter, prevention education programs, and other vital services.
Artists may submit up to five pieces for consideration, and the entry fee is $50 per work. Entries must be submitted by April 6, 2018.
To enter, artists must submit an image of each work to both [email protected] and [email protected].
Founded in 1987, The Retreat’s mission is “to provide safety, shelter and support for victims of domestic abuse and to break the cycle of family violence.”
