"With masterful work that resonates with our oceanside community, a profound attachment to our region, and a significant contribution to the story of American art, William Glackens reinforces and advances the mission of the Parrish," Parrish Art Museum Director Terrie Sultan said.

On July 20, 2014 the Water Mill Museum will present William Glackens, the first comprehensive collection of the Glackens' work since 1966. Featuring over 70 of his pieces, the artwork spans the full career of the artists and includes numerous pieces that are on view to the public for the first time in half a century.

Glackens painted on Long Island form 1911-1915, so attendees can expect to see paintings of some Long Island beaches in addition to New York City scenes, and the landscapes and shorelines of Cape Cod, Connecticut and Bellport.

The exhibition is curated by writer and art historian Avis Berman and co-organized and presented by the Parrish Art Museum, the Nova Southeastern University Museum of Art in Fort Lauderdale and the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia.

The exhibit will be open to the public through October 13 at the Parrish Art Museum, located at 279 Montauk Hwy in Water Mill. For more information, visit parrishart.org.

Hampton Luxury Liner
Hampton Luxury Liner was started in 2000 as a more luxurious way to travel from NYC to the Hamptons and back. The clientele quickly grew and over the years Hampton Luxury liner became the preferred method of transportation to the Hamptons and NYC for many living in NYC and the Hamptons that wanted a comfortable and affordable way to travel back and forth. In 2009, HLL was taken over by Classic Coach and things with the liner didnít change to much for years and the owner there changed the buses to Prevost as opposed to Mercedes Setra Top Class Coaches that have always been a signature of the liner.
