The East End Arts

At the reception, which is open to the public, guests will have the opportunity to view the show and meet the guest jurors and the various featured artists. This exhibit's jurors are Peter Marcelle

"We are pleased to be providing artists, both local and national, the opportunity to exhibit in a nationally recognized show with judges of formidable stature," said East End Arts Executive Director Pat Snyder
. "Our second annual National Juried Art Show is a significant addition to the important and vibrant art scene on Eastern Long Island."
The winner of the competition's "Best in Show" award was Win Zibeon
's "Objects In Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear." The recognition comes with a 10-day stay at East End Arts' Artist Residence near Hamptons' museums and galleries, plus $1,000, and inclusion in a group show at the prestigious Peter Marcelle Gallery
in Bridgehampton, NY.
"The more I travel the more I see, the more I read, the more I want to tweak the viewer's vision of his or her world. We all want to live in a perfect world where the water is perfectly clear. We know it isn't so," said artist Win Zibeon about his competition-winning work. "Yet so many paintings still portray an idealized view of the world. While I don't want to shatter the fantasy, I would like the viewer to come away from my paintings and take a little extra time to see their world a little differently."
The H2O show is the last of East End Arts Gallery
's juried art shows this year, which have all fallen under the umbrella theme of "Celebrating Our Diversity."
