Artist Alice Aycock Giving Illustrated Talk At Water Mill’s Parrish Art Museum

Michelle DiLungo

Artist Alice Aycock, will be giving an illustrated talk on her extraordinary work in sculpture, public art, and drawing in the Parrish Art Museum's Lichtenstein Theater. Her exhibition, Alice Aycock Drawings: Some Stories Are Worth Repeating, is currently displayed at both the Parrish Art Museum and the Grey Art Gallery at New York University.

Aycock was educated at Douglass College and Hunter College and began exhibiting in New York during the early 1970s as one of a group of artists—including Gordon Matta-Clark, George Trakas, Jene Highstein, and Richard Nonas. She constructed her first large-scale, site-specific outdoor piece—a wooden maze thirty-two feet in diameter—in Pennsylvania in 1972. Presently, Alice Aycock has created dozens of stunning public art projects, which are on display at locations throughout the United States.

The Parrish Are Museum is located at 279 Montauk Hwy in Water Mill. Tickets to the talk are $10.00, free for Members, students, and children and reservations are recommended. For more information visit www.parrishart.org.

Hampton Luxury Liner
Hampton Luxury Liner was started in 2000 as a more luxurious way to travel from NYC to the Hamptons and back. The clientele quickly grew and over the years Hampton Luxury liner became the preferred method of transportation to the Hamptons and NYC for many living in NYC and the Hamptons that wanted a comfortable and affordable way to travel back and forth. In 2009, HLL was taken over by Classic Coach and things with the liner didn’t change to much for years and the owner there changed the buses to Prevost as opposed to Mercedes Setra Top Class Coaches that have always been a signature of the liner.
