Plein Air Peconic At Westhampton Free Library

Westhampton Beach - Plein Air Peconic artists will be exhibiting at Westhampton Free Library through January 2, 2012, Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The library is located at 7 Library Avenue, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978

Art inspired by direct observation of our cherished local farmlands, flower fields, salt marshes, beaches, including many that have been conserved by Peconic Land Trust, will be presented in an exhibition and sale by Plein Air Peconic to benefit Peconic Land Trust. A selection of exquisite but moderately priced smaller works will be available just in time for the Christmas season.

The artists of Plein Air Peconic are painters Casey Chalem Anderson, Susan D'Alessio, Aubrey Grainger, Gail Kern, Anita Kusick, Michele Margit, Gordon Matheson, Joanne Rosko, Eileen Dawn Skretch, and photographers Tom Steele, Kathryn Szoka, and Ellen Watson.

Established in 2006, Plein Air Peconic artists have a reputation for excellence and have exhibited their work widely. The artists of Plein Air Peconic work with and donate a portion of all sales to the Peconic Land Trust.

About The Peconic Land Trust
The Peconic Land Trust was established in 1983 to conserve Long Island's working farms and natural lands. Since its inception, the nonprofit Trust has worked with landowners, communities, partner organizations and local government to conserve approximately 10,000 acres of land on Long Island. While working to conserve the productive farms, watersheds, woodlands, and beachfront of Long Island, the Trust is also protecting the unique rural heritage and natural resources of the region.
