East Hampton - The
Artist Alliance of East Hampton, founded in 1984 in memory of
Jimmy Ernst, internationally acclaimed abstract artist, will hold its 26th Annual Studio Tour July 23 and July 24, 2011. This traditional event will start with a Preview Exhibition at Ashawagh Hall on Old Stone Highway in Springs. All participating artists will exhibit a representative work of art on July 22, July 23, and July 24. An Opening Reception will be held on Friday, July 22, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Public is invited and encouraged to attend the reception, where wine and refreshments will be served. The exhibition will be on view Saturday and Sunday, July 23 and July 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., to assist Tour visitors in choosing which studios they wish to attend.
The two-day self-guided Tour will include the studios, homes and gardens of 32 East End artists. The following artists will participate in the Tour:

Howard Lazar,
Cynthia Loewen,
Mark Mulholland,
Deborah Palmer,
Alyce Peifer,
Mark Perry,
Sheila Rotner,
Frank Sofo,
Ursula Thomas, and
Athos Zacharias. All studios will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Official Studio Tour Map will provide easy driving directions to each studio. Studios are located in East Hampton, Springs, Sag Harbor, Bridgehampton and Water Mill.
Tickets are priced at $50 per ticket, which admits the ticket buyer and his family or a friend. Tickets are available at all BookHampton stores, the Golden Eagle Art Supply store, Hampton Photo Arts and Gone Local store, and also online at the Artists Alliance website.
