Sag Harbor - "Mostly Abstract," a group exhibition featuring eight artists, offers diverse points of view on the meaning of "abstract" art. From the paintings of Austrian born
Ruth Rogers-Altmann, with whimsical images of sails flying through the air, to the bold color-field images of
Mark E. Zimmerman, to large poured resin panels by
Barbara Bilotta, to politically motivated collages by
Joe Eschenberg, and more.
The exhibit, on view at Ashawagh Hall on Old Stone Highway in the historic heart of Springs, will feature artworks by the above and
Jim Hayden,
Katherine Hammond,
Jana Hayden, and
Haim Mizrahi.
The exhibit will be on view Saturday and Sunday, April 9 and 10, with an opening reception on Saturday night from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
