Downtown Riverhead Summer Photo Contest Winners Announced

Riverhead - The organizers of the Downtown Riverhead Summer Photo Contest are pleased to announce winners and invite everyone in the "I Love Riverhead" group to the awards ceremony.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Riverhead Country Fair on Sunday, October 11, at 12:30 on the Main Stage, which will be behind the Sweezey's building!
Voting ended for the Downtown Riverhead Summer Photo Contest 2009 on October 4. Photographers took over 300 great photos this summer, a panel of six judges selected finalists, and the public voted online to decide the winners.
Congratulations to winners in each of five categories:
Overall
• First Place (tie): "Grangebel Falls" by Michael McLaughlin and "Main Street" by Michael McLaughlin.
• Second Place: "Papa Nick's" by Cindy Clifford.
• Third Place: "Downtown Friday Night" by Jo Ledbetter.
Art And Culture
• First Place: "Suf—lk" by Kaitlyn Ferris.
• Second Place: "Art on Main" by Diane Woodcheke.
• Third Place: "Young Drums" by Jo Ledbetter.
People And Events
• First Place: "Facing Gravity" by Kaitlyn Ferris.
• Second Place (tie): "Fair Town of Riverhead" by Jo Ledbetter and "Head in the Clouds" by Kaitlyn Ferris.
• Third Place: "Suf—lk" by Kaitlyn Ferris.

• First Place: "Peconic Riverfront" by Jenny Intravia.
• Second Place: "Peconic River by Citibank" by Diane Woodcheke.
• Third Place: "Healing Hand" by Jo Ledbetter.
