On Friday, July 25, 2014, VH1 and the VH1 Save The Music Foundation along with the event chairs, Julie and William Macklowe, are bringing the awesome music festival vibe to the Hamptons for VH1 Save The Music Honors Benefit. The charity concert will feature performances from Grace A. Dunn Middle School, James Bay, Ingrid Michaelson, and DJ Theory. Proceeds will benefit the Foundation’s initiative to support music education programs in public schools.
The summer celebration will honor individuals who embody the spirit of music in their particular fields. Honorees include Charlie Walk, Executive Vice President of Republic Records; Linda Perry, Singer/Songwriter and producer; Bozoma Saint John, Senior Vice President, Head of Global Marketing at Beats Music; and Nathan Cohen, a Grace A. Dunn Middle School Music Teacher. The evening puts together high-energy musical performances with a bit of laid-back, relaxed comfort that will be livened up with the evening’s unique décor, sponsored experiences and live music. Guests can discover, network and take pleasure in a variety of experiences from sponsors including Avnet, William Hill Estate Wines, Marimekko, Raymond Weil, Alex and Ani, Vbeauté, Tequila Don Julio, Corona Extra/Corona Light, Henri Bendel, Hamptons Magazine and VOSS Artesian Water from Norway.
In preparation for this exciting event, VH1 Save The Music has developed a series of supplementary activities that will also raise funds in support of the Foundation.
