The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center has received the 2013 MetLife Foundation Creative Aging Program Grant for their "Melodies & Memories" program. Launched in the fall of 2010, the program is aimed at enriching the development of skills and knowledge for adults ages 60 and over.

During the eight week program participants learn expertise in theater, music, and nostalgia storytelling. The program culminates with a performance at the WHBPAC for family and members of the community. The grant will allow "Melodies & Memories" to include a new section for beginners as well as allow previous participants to receive more advanced training in the arts.
