Bridgehampton - The
Children's Museum of the East End invites children and their parents/caregivers to "Get Creative" at two upcoming workshops.
On Saturday, March 12 at 10 a.m.,
Ruby Jackson from the
Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center in East Hampton will lead a special 'Jackson Pollock' Workshop, teaching young visitors about the famous East End painter, while showing them how to have fun duplicating his splatter and drip technique.
Smocks will be provided, but it is suggested that children wear 'paint-friendly' clothing. The cost for Members is $10 and Non-Members: $21, which includes the price of admission. Pre-registration is required. This program is fully or partially funded by the Suffolk County Executive's Office.
On Sunday, March 13, at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.,
CMEE-goers can get a head start on St. Patrick's Day celebrating, by baking and decorating their own 'Lucky Cupcakes.' Led by Chef Amy, CMEE's resident cooking teacher, young chefs can mix their own batter, watch the cupcakes bake in CMEE's cupcake bakers, then decorate them with festive green icing and sprinkles. The cost is $5 for Members and $17 for Non-Members, which includes the price of admission. Pre-registration is required. This Program is fully or partially funded by the Suffolk County Executive's Office.
