Kathryn Markel Fine Arts
Join Sara Nightingale Gallery for a celebration of the New Year on Saturday, January 1, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kathryn Markel Fine Arts, 2418 Montauk Hwighway, Bridgehampton. (Next door to Loaves and Fishes Cook Shop). Sara Nightingale Gallery will occupy the space on Main Street for the month of January. Works from Kathryn Markel Fine Arts will also be available. Catering provided by Fait Accompli. Works by Eric Dever, Maggie Simonelli, Christian Little, Gus Yero, Charles Ly and more. Vered Gallery
Vered Gallery's Winter Show opens with an exhibition by photographer Gideon Lewin will be on display through the season until February 21. Lewin was studio manager and "right hand man" to Richard Avedon for 16 years and collaborated closely on many projects, including printing for Museum exhibitions and editions, books and assisting on editorial assignments. Lewin has made many successful ad campaigns for Saks Fifth Avenue, Bill Blass, Lord and Taylor, and Hathaway to name a few. His editorial work has been published in Harpers Bazaar, Vogue, Avenue, Lears, Elle, Lifestiles and Traveling magazine. Also, exhibited photographs by Robert Mapplethorpe, Richard Avedon, Man Ray, Massimo Vitali, Steven Klein and Weegee. The Gallery's hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday. Rogers Mansion
The Rogers Mansion will present artist Ernesto F. Costa: Shinnecock Hills Painter at 17 Meeting House Lane in Southampton on Saturday, January 22, with a reception from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free. The exhibition will run through April 30, 2011, and is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, Costa (1926-2005) lived in Shinnecock Hills and painted his friends and surroundings in a highly styled manner that leaves the viewer with a feeling of delight. A book on his life and work has recently been published by his wife Judith Ann Costa.

Romany Kramoris Gallery
The Romany Kramoris Gallery (41 Main Street, Sag Harbor, 631-725-2499) is pleased to announce a limited number of new works by Sag Harbor artist Christopher Engel entitled "Numinous II." The show will run through January. The Gallery is open seven days a week throughout the holiday season from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and open late weekends.

4 No. Main Gallery
Artist Michael Paraskevas will be having a retrospective show of his paintings, illustrations and design work at 4 No. Main Street Gallery in Southampton. The show will run through December 31.

Richard J. Demato Gallery
The gallery will "end 2010 and begin 2011 with a mixed group of our own gallery artists." Artists include; Jeff Aeling, Michael Carson, Daria Deshuk, Donato Giancola, Haley Hasler, Andrea Kowch, Harriet Sawyer, Victoria Selbach, Wanda Steppe, and Bart Vargas. Southampton Cultural Center's Levitas Center For The Arts
"Sculpture in Welded Steel" - a collection of recent abstract sculptures executed in welded steel by Water Mill sculptor Don Saco will be on view from January 6 through January 31. There will be an Opening Reception held on Saturday, January 8, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Gallery Hours are 12 noon to 4 p.m. or by appointment.

Lana Santorelli GalleryArtist and gallery owner Lana Santorelli will have a solo exhibition at 110 West 26th Street, New York City (212-229-2111, lanasantorelligallery.com) through January 29.

The Manhasset Public Library
The Manhasset Public Library is presenting the exhibit, "Drawing in Color: Work by Linda Capello and Angie D'Alessio," through January 27. The library is located at 30 Onderdonk Avenue (Corner of Northern Blvd.), Manhasset, 516-627-2300.

Rosalie Dimon Gallery
The East End Arts Council and Jamesport Manor Inn present a new two person art exhibit through February 3. Exhibits at the Rosalie Dimon Gallery are a joint effort by the East End Arts Council and the Jamesport Manor Inn to introduce exceptional artists and their work to the East End Communities.

Crazy Monkey Gallery
The Crazy Monkey Gallery will open a new exhibit, titled "Small Works." Taking part in the show will be Ruth Rogers Altmann, Rob Calvert, Lance Corey, Salvatore Gulla, Jana Hayden, Jim Hayden, Wilhemina Howe, June Kaplan, Joanna Paitchell Lee, Andrea McCafferty, Sara Petitt, Daniel Schoenheimer, Clare Schoenheimer, Cynthia Sobel, Daphne Stern, Bob Tucker, Ellyn Tucker and Mark Zimmerman. Tripoli Gallery of Contemporary Art
The Tripoli Gallery of Contemporary Art presents Andrey Bartenev, Eric Cahan, Herbie Fletcher, Félix Bonilla Gerena, Jamie Miller, Jake U. Patterson, John Ross Rist, Matthew Satz, Nick Weber, William Wood, and Darius Yektai through January 27. Gallery hours are 12 noon to 6 p.m., Friday to Sunday, and by appointment seven days a week. The Drawing Room
The Drawing Room (16R Newtown Lane, East Hampton, 631-324-5016, www.drawingroom-gallery.com) will present Raja Ram Sharma Contemporary miniature paintings from Rajasthan and 18th and 19th century European Garden Plans through January 10. Also on view "The Island of Rota" - a limited-edition artist's book published by The Museum of Modern Art's Library Council that unites text by Oliver Sacks, cliché-verres by Abelardo Morell and design by Ted Muehling. Gallery hours are Friday, Saturday and Monday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
