I don't understand some of you guys (both genders) out there. Are you really going to let the doomsday sayers have the last word and have your clients and customers have a "Chicken Little" view of the East End real estate market? 1 comment
Spec homes can be fantastic when they are done well. Well, we found a few that will meet anyone's high standards. We have closing reports and recruiting ideas too.
Last week I mentioned two exclusive land listings we got from a friend and some of you industrious realtors have been emailing me. I can tell you about one of them. Here's the dish.
Now how bad can things be when Paul Brennan, executive honcho with Prudential Douglas Elliman Bridgehampton, has two full pages of ads in the NY Post? Congrats to all the award winning agents out there - let's hear it for you!
This week it's a little bit of this and a little bit of that and plenty of great real estate gossip to ward off the chilly weather. 1 comment
This week we have star realtors in the Hamptons and huge sales across the globe from local agents in big firms. Big news on the North Fork to the tune of $19.5 million. Nicely done everyone!
I found some special people in the industry this week. It all started with Arlene Wiseman at The Corcoran Group. Then I met a few new agents at Town and Country Real Estate. What's new in your office?
Town & Country Real Estate sent me this press release saying they are joining the movement and have gone green. Breaking News: Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate had two hot and huge deals transacted through their veteran broker, John Golden.
We wrote about best deals around one million dollars in the Hamptons and on the East End. Now let's talk about homes over $10 million. Who was making these big deals? Well, here's one broker we would like to bring to your attention as part of a "broker stories" on-going series we mentioned to you a few weeks back.
We end the year with some words of wisdom about an ever-changing market, a few pearls about MLS, and then a hodgepodge from everyone.
Now that I've gotten over that East Hampton Oaks deal (see last week's column), I will stop whining and continue the million dollar values, plus or minus. So, we were looking at east of the canal in the Town of East Hampton.
What can you get for about a million on the East End? And what some realtors consider as best deals in that range continues this week, moving east of the canal, as promised.
New Year, new stuff, and some impressive remainders. As promised, we continue to list the impressive The Corcoran Group achievers of 2007. We also heard from the folks at Brown Harris Stevens, Town & Country Real Estate, and Prudential Douglas Elliman.
For the giving season, a market view for Sellers, Buyers, Renters, Landlords, Tenants, and Brokers. In our December columns Realty Takes will give its readers a million dollar view of what plus or minus a million can get on the East End market at the end of 2007. Included will be some rental glimpses for 2008 between $55,000 and $75,000.
It does not follow that our market is robust. Not many of the overflow realtors out east are selling $18 million dollar homes. Unit sales are down. So what do you do? Stay in action, my friends. Stay in action. Get all the free mentions (as in Realty Takes) that you can. 2 comments
A reader from Texas responds to co-exclusives. We would also like your take on some of the new agent training programs and regimes with the larger corporate firms. A mortgage broker weighs-in on Citibank.
We all know what "green" means in business. In real estate, it can't be under the table. But today we have another kind of green.
Okay, Citibank knocks out Wall Street with the underperformance rating. Hang in there guys and gals. Eco-friendly this, eco-safe that, now the eco-broker. What's next?
We spoke to George Simpson and got his view of the East End market. Lots to say and lots to review. Then we received some news about local agents and brokers.
I do love to print your emails. This week we have bits from the various responses we're received these past few weeks. We talk mortgages, co-exclusives, and more.
