Scarlett Johansson Purchases Hamptons Home In Amagansett

Scarlett Johansson is the latest celeb to purchase a Hamptons hideaway. The blonde bombshell reportedly bought a two-story, four-bedroom beach house on Shipwreck Drive. The 3,500 square feet Amagansett home was on the market for $2.2 million.

"The Avengers" actress has been a hot topic lately as her role in an upcoming SodaStream commercial, which will debut during the Super Bowl, ended her ambassador role with the humanitarian group Oxfam International. The commercial also struck a chord with Fox, the network Super Bowl XLVIII will air on. Due to Pepsi sponsoring the halftime show featuring Bruno Mars, SodaStream was asked to censor the commercial by getting rid of Johansson's last line, "Sorry, Coke and Pepsi."

Following the controversial ad, if the "Her" star and French fiancé, journalist Romain Douriac are looked for a private place to relax, the Hamptons adobe seems like a pretty good spot. Located on 1.4 acres, the home features wide pine floors, a chef's kitchen with a Viking Range stove and large island, three guest bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms as well as private balconies, and of course a lavish master suite with a fireplace and balcony. The outdoor space is just as luxurious with a heated outdoor pool, deeded ocean access, and the property is adjacent to the Peconic Land Trust

Johannsen was spotted frequently out and about in the Hamptons last summer. Her new house has plenty of room for entertaining so who knows maybe she'll even host some of her Hollywood co-stars like Amy Adams, Chris Evans, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
