Bridgehampton - Lori Barbaria won #1 in Sales Production for Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate on all of Long Island for 2009.

Barbaria has always been in the top tier of sales in the Hampton's but her tenacity in one of the hardest years and markets in decades has proven itself quite amazingly.

Born and raised in Manhattan, Barbaria was a hair and make-up artist to the stars. She moved to the Hamptons in 1994 with her son and husband and shifted her career into real estate. She says "I always keep my focus on what I want to happen, not what is happening." Her ideas seem to work wonders - this year she is also in the top 10 of all company sales agents nationwide.

Barbaria has also written and published a book "Abracadabra Create As You Speak."
