The Class Of 2016: Restoration, Renovation, And Renewal Of Existing Outdoor Living Space Is Trending In The Hamptons

Each summer season in the Hamptons, the overall landscape changes just a little bit. Some of the changes are for the better, and some changes are up for interpretation. As you head east with the upcoming warmer weather, you may see a new restaurant on Jobs Lane in Southampton, a few new shops on Newtown Lane in East Hampton, and, over on the North Fork, Love Lane in Mattituck may bustle slightly more than in past years. But the landscape that matters most to our friends, neighbors, family, and clients is not what we see as we drive to our destination. The most important change in the landscape is what you see when you arrive at your home to enjoy the outdoor living space in your own backyard. Is this the season that the old pool will be replaced with a luxury pool and spa? Will this be the year that you add the outdoor kitchen with all the amenities? Will your family gather by the new fireplace under the stars on a cool August night? Restoration, renovation, and renewal of existing backyards is a very popular trend in the Hamptons.

Unbridled passion drives the best contractors in the Hamptons to design and build the most comfortable, functional, and luxurious outdoor living space. For the elite craftsman, there is no greater satisfaction than creating exceptional outdoor living space. Our friends at HGTV ask, "Nature is a popular interior decorating theme, and the term "bringing the outside in" is often used to describe using natural features like plants and rocks inside—but what about bringing the inside out?" The answer is that outdoor living has become more popular than ever. New pavilions, fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, luxury gunite swimming pools, and tennis courts come to life each year. From concept to completed construction, design/build firms transform existing landscapes to something extraordinary for a select few clients each year.

Several summers ago, the Wall Street Journal noted, "Forget the fire pit. The latest luxury backyards are being outfitted with everything from movie theaters to dishwashers to bathtubs." In the Hamptons, I have seen more pride in the creative process, the collaborative process that clients enjoy with design/build firms, and the out-of-the-box thinking that is more present this year than ever before.

The culmination of the creative team's efforts is similar to a graduation. The class of 2016 will debut soon. Families will gather to celebrate the new beginning of a great season at their own private oasis. There will be quiet satisfaction and an ear-to-ear grin for those who worked behind the scenes to make it possible.

Hampton Luxury Liner
Hampton Luxury Liner was started in 2000 as a more luxurious way to travel from NYC to the Hamptons and back. The clientele quickly grew and over the years Hampton Luxury liner became the preferred method of transportation to the Hamptons and NYC for many living in NYC and the Hamptons that wanted a comfortable and affordable way to travel back and forth. In 2009, HLL was taken over by Classic Coach and things with the liner didn’t change to much for years and the owner there changed the buses to Prevost as opposed to Mercedes Setra Top Class Coaches that have always been a signature of the liner.
