The Spur, Southampton's first members-only, co-working space and innovation lab, toasted to being open seven days a week during a festive St. Patrick's Day soiree. The invite only event at The Spur at Southampton Social Club brought out over 100 members and their guests. The evening also commemorated The Spur founder Ashley John Heather's birthday.
The Ellen Hermanson Foundation hosted their annual "Denim & Diamonds" soiree at 230 Elm Productions in Southampton. The evening, which supports the Ellen Hermanson Breast Center at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital and Ellen's Well, commemorated Dr. Louis Avvento, Jason and Theresa Belkin, and Shirley Ruch.
New mom Hoda Kotb read from her children’s book, “I’ve Loved You Since Forever,” at Book Revue in Huntington. Haley Joy, the "Today" host's baby, inspired Kotb to pen the book.
Guild Hall's 33rd Academy of the Arts Achievement Awards toasted to Audrey Flack, Gail Sheehy, Harris Yulin, and Sheri Sandler. The ceremony, which was held at The Rainbow Room in New York City, included award presentations by David Brigham, Tom Wolfe, Alec Baldwin, and Guild Hall Executive Director Andrea Grover, and live performances from guitarist G.E. Smith and The History of Art Band. Eric Fischl, artist and Academy President, and writer Iris Smyles hosted the soiree.
Philanthropist and author Jean Shafiroff hosted the 66th Annual New York Junior League Winter Ball at the Pierre Hotel in New York City. The evening honored Nancy Houghton and Wendy Wade, as well as Mary Catherine Burdine, Katie Cook, Nicole Ferrin, Elizabeth Fabsits Pavone, and Kim Essency Pillari. The Riviera Romance themed fundraiser raised more than $530,000 for NYJL Charitable Activities.
Jean and Martin Shafiroff opened their Park Avenue floor-through in anticipation of New York City Mission Society's annual Champions for Children Gala. Their gala on April 24 at the Mandarin Oriental - which the Shafiroff's will co-chair with Katrina and Don Peebles, and Leah and Stanley H. Rumbough — promises to be as stellar as last year's fete.

Jon Bon Jovi, son Jesse Bongiovi and winemaker Gerard Bertrand raised a glass to their new rosé brand - Diving into Hampton Water - during a soiree at the Versace Mansion during South Beach food and Wine Festival. The event brought out 300 guests - including Giada De Laurentiis - who were treated to an acoustic performance by Jon Bon Jovi, who performed several of his hits including Who Says You Can’t Go Home, Living on a Prayer and You Give Love a Bad Name, and also covered Here Comes the Sun and I put a Spell on you.
"This is the 8th annual HarborFrost," Lisa Field, President of the Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce, told us, "and it's been great. Every year we just keep building on it and it just keeps getting bigger and better." The Chamber founded HarborFrost with the hopes of bringing visitors and the community to the Village during the slowest time of the year - and it's now turned into a winter must attend.
