Amagansett - On Saturday, B East, located in downtown Amagansett hosted a two hour spin. Asparagus Beach which sells fun beachwear in the B East boutique sponsored the event to help raise funds for the
Ellen Hermanson Foundation and Ellen's Well, both of which provide support to breast cancer survivors on the East End.
All 44 bikes were filled, the energy was amazing, and the music never stopped!
After the two hour bike ride,
The Third Estate Band (lead singer
Lisa Bonner, manager at
Rowdy Hall) played at the "Cancer Sucks" after party next door at D'Canela Restaurant. Riders and party goers alike were adorned in "Cancer Sucks" tattoos as they quenched their thirst with pink margaritas and rum punch.
Over $26,000 was raised at this event and donations are still coming in!
While everyone contributed to making the ride a huge success, a few people went far past all expectations in their fundraising.
