Greenport - Beginning with a salute to ELIH nurses on May 6 and continuing with "National Hospital Week" - May 9 to May 15, National Emergency Medical Services Week - May 15 to May 21 as well as Older American's month, ELIH will shine the light on the everyday heroes of healthcare in our community. The public is invited to participate in social media and networking to bring local community members and healthcare personnel together.
"It is a privilege to honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine's "front line. We're extremely proud of each member of our staff as well as the many EMS personnel who put their best foot forward every day. We recognize the important role these individuals play in extending a sense of trust to our patients and our communities," states
Paul Connor, President and CEO. "ELIH is pleased to celebrate with caregivers across the country."
A hospital is more than a place where people go to heal, it is a part of the community that fosters health and represents hope. From providing treatment and comfort to the sick, to welcoming new life into the world, hospitals are central to a healthy and optimistic community.
