SPORTIME Multi-Sport Arena Reopens In Amagansett

Amagansett - SPORTIME is proud to announce the grand re-opening of the sports arena located at Terry King Park, 385 Abrahams Path, Amagansett. Subject to a multi-year license agreement with the Town of East Hampton, SPORTIME will operate the facility as of January 2011 and for the next 15 plus years, through August 2027.

SPORTIME Amagansett Multi-Sport is the Company's sixth multi-sport facility in New York. The facility, which was constructed by the Town of East Hampton, features a regulation-size roller hockey rink with a sport-court surface. SPORTIME plans to operate the arena as a year-round, community-based recreation center, offering a wide variety of indoor sports activities, including teams, leagues and instructional programs for children, teens and adults, all at affordable prices.

Currently outfitted for youth and adult roller hockey, soccer and lacrosse, the SPORTIME Amagansett Multi-Sport Arena can also be used for indoor baseball training, flag football, inline skating, birthday parties and special events, and more!

SPORTIME will make immediate repairs and improvements to the arena and will make major renovations at the end of the winter season, including the addition of air-conditioning, men's and women's bathrooms, individual team changing rooms, and a café. The rink will be retrofitted to expand its current use to include three regulation basketball courts and three competition volleyball courts. According to SPORTIME CEO and Amagansett resident, Claude Okin, "By summer 2011, the SPORTIME Amagansett Multi-Sport Arena will offer basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, flag football, roller hockey, soccer, and lacrosse in a safe, family friendly environment. We are thrilled that the Town chose a local company to operate the arena and SPORTIME hopes to offer fun and fitness to every local sports enthusiast!"

SPORTIME operates 13 tennis, fitness and multi-sport clubs across Long Island, in NYC, in Westchester and in the New York Capital Region. SPORTIME's first club, now entering its 24th year, is a 23 acre, 34 court, outdoor tennis, swim and camp facility in Amagansett, located across from the arena at Terry King Park. Summertime use of the newly air-conditioned Multi-Sport Arena will expand the camp's roster of sports and rainy day activities.
