'Inspired' Furniture Launch At Lampworks
New York City - East End resident and well-known interior designer, Rona Landman, celebrated the launch of her new furniture line, "Inspired," with a special preview in Manhattan in early April, at Lampworks.
The evening also paid tribute to "Furnish A Future," NYC's only free furniture bank for formerly homeless families and individuals transitioning out of the NYC shelter system.
The pieces featured in the "Inspired" collection encompass Landman's overall design philosophy of using both functionality and beauty. Furniture is made from exotic woods, metals and parchment finishes. One signature piece is a set of three nesting tables reminiscent of neo-classic style, and showcase a beautiful burled Maple inset.
The collection, which consists of 40 well-crafted pieces, draws inspiration from various designers, including Karl Sprigner and Vladimir Kagan, and features materials in the vein of mid-20th century trends. Select styles from the "Inspired" collection will be featured in the windows of Lampworks through Aug. 1.
Guests including Lampworks founder Bebe Regnier, "Furnish A Future" director David Espinosa, Dr. Kevin Plancher, Paul Geiger, Jules Kirby, Elaine Sargent, and Barbara Dixon were among some of attendees on hand to toast the designer.
