Southampton - UntappedAbility (founders Kerry Wilkie, Julie Lofstad, and Andy Godfrey) presented "It's A Girls Night Fashion Show" sponsored by Hamptons.com at Southampton Inn on Saturday, January 31, showcasing the runway moves of some very attractive model/moms donning clothing, jewelry and accessories from local East End businesses, and sponsored by Hamptons.com.

Our own Nicole B. Brewer acted as Mistress of Ceremonies.

According to their mission statement "UntappedAbility" is an innovative job matching service. The company was founded on the premise that former 'stay-at-home' moms have much to offer the business world. [The] focus is to assist mothers in their return to the workforce on a schedule that fits into their lives, with many who are ready to reconnect with the business world on a full time basis...[and] will be employees of distinction." Well, Saturday's models connected to the audience with not only a great deal of distinction - but with style, poise, humor and charm - as they strutted down the runway at Southampton Inn to the delight of the nearly filled to capacity crowd.

Tapping into her own abilities, Hamptons.com Executive Editor Nicole B. Brewer acted as the evening's Mistress of Ceremonies, and kept the fashion show moving briskly with humor, excitement, warmth and encouragement, ensuring that all the models and attendees were comfortable and welcomed.

With tickets at $50 per person for the evening's events, the After Party was sponsored by White's Pharmacy of East Hampton with music provided by DJ Tommy Cerino of Needle in the Groove. A cash bar, passed hors d'œuvres, and nifty gift bags containing goodies and discounts for services from each of the sponsors handed out at the end of the evening, as well as a door prize by Nu Skin Galvanic Spa - Beauty at Home Package with a $400 retail value, including two consultations, this was an evening filled with beautiful people, wearing beautiful attire and jewels, bringing beautiful and heartfelt camaraderie to their community. Gabby's Inspiration
The fashion show ended with the presentation of a $3,000 check from an emotional Wilkie to La Parmigiana owners, Rudy and Lisa Gambino, for Gabby's Inspiration. Gabby's Inspiration was founded by the Gambinos in memory of their five-year-old daugther, Gabriella Ashley, who passed away unexpectedly due to an undetected heart condition. The couple and their family established the Gabriella Ashley Gambino Scholarship Fund as a thank-you to the community who rallied around the family during their time of need. Both Gambinos took the stage, and Rudy Gambino, obviously struggling with his emotions, gracefully accepted the check on behalf of his family and the scholarship fund.

The ladies strutted their stuff one more time to conclude the fashion show, and then the After Party rocked the house until the wee hours with dancing, goodwill and fun for all those who tapped into their pockets, hearts and community spirit for an organization and worthy charity that brought East Enders together to heat it up on a very cold winter night. Kudos to all!
