Friday night, Jaci and Morris L. Reid hosted the third annual A White Hot Benefit for the VH1 Save The Music Foundation that raised over $100,000. A live auction hosted by Jaci Reid got the crowd warmed up, including Star Jones who jumped with delight at the diamond necklace up for bidding. Other live auction items included a Pamela Hanson print, a Vespa motorized scooter, MAC gift boxes, spa packages, and a day on the set of The Big Idea With Donny Deutsch raised an additional $15,000 for the Foundation. Toni Braxton closed the show with a show-stopping 20-minute performance of her greatest hits and select songs from her highly anticipated new album, Libra (and how amazing does she look!).

The steeply sloped lawn made for natural stadium-like seating for the guests, including Russell Simmons, Alec Baldwin, Gayle King, Donna Karan, Star Jones Reynolds, Victoria Gotti, T-Boz, Ines Rivero, Alexandra Richards, Douglas Hannant, B. Smith, Tom Calderone, John Sykes, and Wafah Dufour (nee bin Laden). Though it was a tough hike up and down to mingle for the guests in heels. Sponsors including Crest Whitestrips, Grey Goose Vodka, MAC cosmetics and Blue & Cream had intimate tents set up for guests to lounge and talk while enjoying the music and mixed drinks. Even with a card handed to guests to trade in for their gift bag at the end of the evening, supply still ran short as the hefty VHI gift bags, including Yellow Box Shoes, Grey Goose Vodka, Crest Whitestrips and more, seemed to go fast. Lizzie Grubman and pals were spotted making a fashionably late entrance, perhaps for the intimate post-concert private dinner and the after party at Cain.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos with son Joaquin

Kelly Ripa hosted the 8th Annual Super Saturday in Watermill, sponsored by Donna Karen, Charla Lawhon, and In Style Magazine benefiting the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. Celeb shoppers included Lorraine Bracco, James Lipton, Howard Stern, Beth Ostrosky, Christie Turlington, and Lisa Gastineau for what has been dubbed as the "World Famous Garage Sale of the Hamptons." Designer clothes and accessories from Donna Karen, Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, and Vera Wang had shoppers grabbing up items in their sizes, trying them on for the perfect fit on the spot.

Kelly Ripa took a moment to pose for the cameras with her son Joaquin, and revealed her soft spot for splurging on shoes and accessories, since they always seem to fit just right. Games, a magician, and "Decorate your own cupcake" booths were big with the younger shoppers, as well as the carnival style roller coasters and ferris wheel. Older shoppers took good advantage of the purchase bag-holding area, conveniently located right next to the Essie Nail color display, where free manicures and massage therapy were a big hit. Voss Water and family friendly snacks like giant pretzels and coffee frappes kept the shoppers energized, and a bountiful BBQ style buffet was available for those patient enough to wait in line. Donna Karen tote bags were overflowing with free goodies, definitely the must-get goodie bag of the summer.

A little taste of Africa could be found on the Polo fields Saturday afternoon as South African Travel and Tourism played host to the day's game and brought a pack of lion cubs from Stump Hill Farms. James Lipton, Vivica A. Fox, Matt Dillon, Star Jones and Al Reynolds (with Pinky in tow), Corey Feldman with wife Suzie, Fischer Stevens, Dr. Felicia M. Suttle (President of the South African Tourism, USA), Chelsea Cooley (Miss USA 2005), Natalie Glebova (Miss Universe 2005), Justin Webb, Jan Trevalyan, Lisanne Grady, Simona Fucili, Brian Cushman, Jill Niccolini, Dana Waisberg, Lindsay Bolles, Carrie Mitchell, Bobby and Jill Zarin brought the family, Dr. Lewis Feder, Matti Anttila, Harrison LeFrak, Kacy Mayer, Victoria Garcia, Zoe Weisberg, and Silvia Miles were among the glitterati in attendance. Freeze 24/7 served up mini-makeovers in their tent to the fabulously picture perfect while the Sergio Rossi tent is still a favorite with all the ladies looking for stylish stilettos.

For the sixth year, Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation is proud to present ART FOR LIFE, its annual benefit garden party held at the gracious East Hampton home of Russell and Kimora Lee Simmons. This tented dinner party is Rush Philanthropic's most important annual fundraising effort, attended annually by a sold-out audience of more than 700 leaders in the entertainment, arts, business, and philanthropic communities. This year's event honored John Demsey, Global President of M.A.C. Cosmetics and Chairman of the M.A.C. AIDS Fund, Alicia Keys, and Tom Schutte, President of Pratt Institute. Auctioneer Star Jones Reynolds joined event chairs Stan Lathan, Cynthia Nixon, and Kimora Lee Simmons where a portion of the proceeds from any photos purchases will be donated to Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation.

Calvin Klein makes an entrance at Brazil

Robert Wilson's Watermill Center hosted the 12th Annual Summer Benefit, "Brazil" on the grounds of the center. Guests were able to mingle while enjoying the art, both inside the building, on the building, in the surrounding woods, and with the wandering performance artists. Guests including Bebel Gilberto, Carlos Miele, Barbara Walters, Susan Stroman, Perry Ferrell, Calvin Klein, Kim Cattrall, Kate and Andy Spade, Paul D. Miller a.k.a DJ Spooky, Zac Posen, Stella Keitel, Sophie Dahl, and Nacho Figueras were encouraged to interact with the works, either in adding a piece to the string composition, or interacting with the sculptures while bidding in the silent auction. Even the food was a work of art as hard to discern chants of "Nutrition is Art" came from two ladies serving as the centerpiece of the table, holding a delicious collection of fruits, meats and cheeses with the occasional brain on display.

After the cocktail gathering, Robert Wilson welcomed the guests to a more formal dinner, seated at long tables, to enjoy food catered by Oliver Cheng, before bidding in the live auction which included 85 paintings, drawings, photos, and sculpture from Enoc Perez to Willem de Kooning. Star auctioneer Simon de Pury stired up the bids during a live auction of commissioned portraits by Annie Leibovitz, Andres Serrano, Jack Pierson, Philip Glass, and Robert Wilson. Dancing with music by DJ Rudy kept the guests dancing late into the evening.

Also on Saturday evening, The East End Organic Community (EECO) Farm held their Blue Moon Ball at the home of James and Ellen Marcus. Rick Friedman, Christie Brinkley, Evan Frankel, and Rivalyh Zweig were among the guests to enjoy food from the celebrity chefs, and bidding on items in the live auction, including everything from fantasy vacations, Adirondack chairs, and other gardening tools. DJ Chef got the crowd up and dancing, and even the staff from the Blue Duck Bakery joined in the lively music while guests enjoyed tasty deserts including gelato and drinks. A hefty gift bag sponsored by Prudential Douglas Elliman real estate sent guests home with goodies including a sun hat perfect for gardening, Personal care items from Naturopathica and J/A/S/O/N and an assortment of teas and tasty snacks.

Radu, Jonathan Cheban, and Lizzie Grubman enjoy cocktails
at the Star Room.

This past Saturday night at the Star Room the always-sexy Mark Wahlberg made an appearance at the after party of his film "Four Brothers" and later hopped over the Tavern with a bevy of beauties. However the real party at the Star Room was for celebrity trainer, Radu who recently opened up his Southampton gym, RADU Physical Culture. Radu has helped shaped some of the world's most beautiful bodies, Cindy Crawford still credits him for her great physique. Chelsea Cooley (Miss USA 2005), Natalie Glebova (Miss Universe 2005), Mos Def, Lizzie Grubman, Jonathan Cheban, all the Power Girls, Playboy's Miss April 2005 Courtney Culkin, and Joanna Wolffer, helped make it a real party. And then there's Jet East. This former celeb only party place might be heating up again as pop icon Usher was spotted partying and dancing there Saturday night. Time will tell. Over at Cain at Cabana, Cynthia Rowley and Ilene Rosenzweig presented their new book "The Swell Dressed Party" in conjunction with a preview of the Skull & Bones collection by Jared Paul Stern.

Linda Kouzoujian and Radu at the Star Room

Who was spotted shopping? On Saturday, Mos Def stopped by Blue & Cream on his way to the movie premiere in East Hampton and he bought a one of a kind Trovata Army jacket. On Sunday Alicia Keys was in the store and she was wearing a "drug dealer" t-shirt. The shirt is going to be exclusively sold at Blue & Cream to help raise money for Keep A Child Alive which funds drugs for children with HIV/Aids in Africa and other impoverished countries.

After a long party-packed weekend it's back to the real world. The "Reality TV" world I should say. Sag Harbor's own, Ralph Pagano, who was one of the two finalists in FOX's hottest reality show this summer Hell's Kitchen, hosted a finale party at JLX Bistro in Sag Harbor Monday night. Ralph, who also owns the gourmet deli in Sag Harbor, Fat Ralph's, watched knowing that he was unfortunately not the winner. We say he was robbed and wish him all the best.
