Southampton Village spread holiday cheer with a day full of fun festive activities on Saturday, December 1, during It's a Wonderful Village Holiday Stroll, the Parade of Lights and the village tree lighting. People were able to take in the Village lit up with lights during a horse and buggy rides or enjoy the Parade of Lights where fire departments and volunteer ambulance cores from Hampton Bays to Amagansett decorated their fire trucks with festive and fun themes and drove through the village to Agawam Park.

This was followed by Annual Christmas Tree Lighting by local Volunteer Ambulance and Fire Departments at Agawam Park. The lighting featured caroling by "VOSH" (Voices of Southampton High School), "MOSH" (Men of Southampton) and Soloist Julie VanNostrand. At the lighting the North Sea Fire Department won the title of best decorated float and Mayor Mark Epley encouraged people to support local stores during the holidays by shopping local for holiday gifts. After the lighting many attendees headed to the Holiday Reception at the Southampton Cultural Center's Levitas Center for a visit with Santa, refreshments and musical entertainment by the Cultural Center's piano students and the Prelude Overture String Ensemble.
