The recipe for a great party in the Hamptons is simple: take one amazing sunset on a vineyard, mix together a great band, add about 250 new and old friends, give it a shake then garnish with delicious noshes and plentiful libations and you've got what transpired this past Friday night, Hamptons.com's inaugural Cocktails & Connections soiree, presented by Rechler Equity
Partners, at Duck Walk Vineyards
in Water Mill.

Everyone agreed, including the very busy Ellen Cea
of Rechler Equity Partners, that the late summer timing was "perfect" for a fun get together. It was also echoed by each guest at one point or another in the evening that they would like to drive one of the four fabulous cars parked on the front lawn, provided by supporting sponsor Six Sigma Auto Group, home. When the choices are between a black BMW
, red hot Mini Cooper, sleek Porsche, or sporty convertible Audi it's hard to choose just one favorite (my pick was the Audi and I sadly watched as it was driven away by someone other than yours truly). The daydreaming continued when we chatted with the ladies of Pisa Brothers Travel
, a supporting sponsor, who showcased their Oceana
cruise. Guests George and Amy Kane of Southampton, who are about to embark on a trip to China, had recently taken the Oceana cruise and remarked that it was, "just wonderful!"
Happily taking a break from the summer madness, we spotted Jay Decker and Torr Morro from Six Sigma Auto Group, Sharon Wood, Andrea Gurvitz, Sally Huns, Jodi Giambrone, Ann Lombardo, Ken and Barbara Poliwoda, Valarie Hart, Stan Glinka, Elyn Kroenmeyer, Dr. John Hubbell, Larane Creegan, Guido Gabriele III, Angela Boyer-Stump, Paul Bollo, Michael Kaufman, Suzanne Sienkiewicz, NY Times CFO Jim Follo with his wife Brenda, Helene Bredes, and Walter Stockton who each had exciting news about upcoming ventures or plans for the fall. Hamptons.com contributing writers Ann Liguori
, Lee Fryd, Anne Halpin, and John Viteretti dropped by to mix and mingle and our favorite photog Rob Rich
snapped photos all night long.

As The Jim Turner
Band went from "mellow" to "hello!" things were in full swing and Greg McIntyre, of supporting sponsor The Padded Wagon
international and luxury moving company, was one of many spotted relaxing at a table on the patio. A line was nearly out the door for LiV Vodka
martinis and dozens more were elbow to elbow in the tasting room sampling the reds and whites from Duck Walk Vineyards much to the delight of vineyard owner Alex Daminanos. Chef Marco Barrilla of Insatiable Eats
charmed the masses with vegetable empanadas and ratitoulle. As a sweet surprise samples of Gelato di Babbo provided by Kimberly Zanni circulated the gathering amidst oohs and aahs and discussions between guests over favorite flavors (let me recommend the salted caramel with chocolate chunks).

What Hamptons' party is complete without a gift bag at the end of the night? Medium brown bags from Bloomingdale's were seen carried by guests heading off to dinner filled with goodies from Softlips, Angelo David
Salon, EBOOST, SKII, Bai, Gaiam TV, Stitch
, Emmi, Hibba Beauty Studio, The Plaza Cafe, Spot on Energy, Swipesterrs, and Hamptons.com of course.
