Westhampton Beach - The Sixth Annual Benefit in Black & White in support of the Peconic Bay Medical Center proved once again to be a huge success for this premiere community hospital and rehabilitation center serving the East End. Over 300 guests turned out for an evening of dancing, dining and a silent auction that rivals any in the Hamptons season of charitable giving>
Held once again at the beautiful Westhampton Beach Country Club, attendees took the theme to heart with many of the gentlemen in tuxedoes and the ladies in stunning gowns of black and white. The food was as fabulous as the attire with dessert provided by Holy Moses Cheesecake.
The event opened with a welcome by
Renee and
Barry Brandeis, long time and generous supports of PBMC. Their welcome was followed with remarks by
Andrew J. Mitchell, President/CEO of PBMC, who spoke of the outstanding work being accomplished at the hospital in regards to facility improvements and patient care.
Elaine and
John Kanas were noted for their support as the evening's Premiere Sponsors. Other major sponsors included Gilliam & Co., the
Harvey and
Gloria Kaylie Foundation, the PBMC Medical and Dental Staff and Suffolk County National Bank.
