Bridgehampton - On Saturday, August 13, 2011 the Animal Rescue Fund of The Hamptons (ARF) hosted "Magic Under the Moonlight" at the
Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club. The event where guests could play with dogs and cats who are available for adoption was attended by hundreds including NBC "New York Nightly News" anchor
Chuck Scarborough and
Ellen Scarborough,
Southampton Hospital Annual Summer Party chair
Jean Shafiroff,
New York Post columnist and NBC commentator
Cindy Adams.

The event was chaired by
Rachel and
Gary Sumers, with
Leah and
Chris Kelly, and
Jessica and
Scott Udell as junior chairs. Guests enjoyed cocktails and a raw bar, dinner music from DJs
Andrew Andrew, magic by
JB Benn and a beach bonfire.
This year
Dr. Lewis Berman, Veterinarian and Founder of Park East Animal Hospital, was honored for his 50 years of outstanding veterinary practice and service to the animal welfare community. He has been a board member of ARF for over 13 years.
Cindy Adams introduced and presented Dr. Berman with his award.
This year ARF teamed up with charitybuzz.com as the official online auction dealer to help promote this year's auction items. From July 28 to August 18, 2011 people can bid on packages including a foursome at Maidstone Club in East Hampton or Atlantic Golf Club, Bridgehampton, go to
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week as a guest of IMG Fashion, two Coaches Club seats for the New York Giants versus the Washington Redskins at the Meadowlands, a three night stay for two at Cap Juluca, Anguilla, six New York Yankees signed baseballs, a backstage tour of NBC with Chuck Scarborough, and be vet for a day at Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons. All proceeds from the benefit and auction will benefit ARF.
