- Miracle House
, a New York City
charity that provides temporary housing, meals and advocacy to caregivers and patients coming to the city for critical medical treatment, announced that its 11th Annual "Cocktails by the Bay" event was a beautiful evening and a great success. The evening was hosted by Tony-winning actress and ardent Miracle House supporter, Joan Allen
, held at a private residence on the bay in Sag Harbor.
The summer sunset cocktail party featured cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, music by Peter Martin Weiss
and Jane Hastay
, and a spectacular silent auction. The auction continues to be one of the most highly anticipated shopping events of the entire season. This year, it included over 70 exciting packages including fantastic trips to Paris, Miami, as well as beautiful artwork and unique experiences, like a Libby Langdon
design consultation, a "One Life to Live" walk on role, and many more. Following the cocktail party, sponsors enjoyed a private dinner "under the stars," also hosted by Allen.
Allen said, "Cocktails by the Bay" is my favorite event of the season. It's a fun night with family and friends on the beautiful bay in Sag Harbor where we celebrate the important work of Miracle House. Many families that stay at Miracle House would not be able to afford to come to New York for medical treatment if not for their vital services."
