Bridgehampton - Under a clear and beautiful sky the 15th anniversary of Bridgehampton Polo at Two Trees Farm continued this weekend as NBA star
Kris Humphries (most recently with the New Jersey Nets) was the honored guest - and for those of you who don't follow basketball, he's set to wed
Kim Kardashian in late August.
With temperatures considerably lower than the sweltering heat that greeted guests opening weekend, spectators arrived ready to enjoy and watch some serious athletic ability taking place on the field.
The afternoon began with the national anthem performed live by the extremely talented
Isaac Carree who hails from Atlanta, GA. At 4 p.m. Humphries announced, "I've never held one of these before" and threw the ball on to the field to kick off the match between teams Certified and Heathcote.
The
Blue Star Jets VIP Tent included delicious bites prepared by Chef
Arthur Wolf of
Turtle Crossing American Bistro, as the brisket sliders were devoured by the hungry crowd, as the match heated up on the field.

For those who can peel their eyes away from people watching to actually look at the field, here's all you need to know: a polo match lasts about two hours, and is divided into six timed periods called chukkers. The object of the game is to hit the ball down the field and through the goal posts to score. During half time, spectators go onto the field in a social tradition called divot stomping.
This annual event brings out everyone in the Hamptons who wants to see and be seen, and this week spotted among the guests were
Jill Zarin with daugther
Allyson, President of Blue Star Jets
Todd Rome,
Donna Karan,
Nancy Singer, owner of Turtle Crossing Restaurant, and artist
Michelle Suna, among others.

The skilled ladies at the
Urban Zen tent were offering integrative therapy sessions lasting just a few minutes, but under the calming and friendly fingertips of
Menna Olvera, I felt transformed for much longer, Aided by touch and scent, this innovative program uses Eastern healing modalities, and addresses PANIC (pain, anxiety, nausea, insomnia and constipation and exhaustion) providing patient awareness towards healing (PAIN). Many were seen availing themselves of this wonderful respite.
Additional 2011 season partners include:
