Bridgehampton - The 15th Anniversary Season of Bridgehampton Polo kicked off on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Two Trees Farm. The match was pushed back an hour due to the sweltering heat, but that didn't deter people from coming out to watch Yellow Cab take on White Birch. Hundreds came to cheer the two teams on including "Real Housewives of New York City" star Cindy Barshop, model Adriana Bachich, Blue Star Jets President Todd Rome, chair of the 53rd Annual Southampton Hospital Summer GalaJean Shafiroff, actor Malik Yoba, Russell Simmons, Vanity Belles who sang the national anthem and designer Betsey Johnson and daughter Lulu who started the match off by throwing the ball onto the polo field.

White Birch started strong with a nine to zero lead in the second, before Ralph Lauren model and polo player Nacho Figueras finally got Yellow Cab on the scoreboard. White Birch kept their lead the whole match and had a 16 to 10 win over Yellow Cab team in the opening match of the 2011 Monty Waterbury Cup.

This year at Bridgehampton Polo guests in the new Blue Star Jets VIP Tent will be treated to a new level of sophistication and entertainment including live musical performances, celebrity hosts, notable chefs and specialty bars as well as exclusive fashion boutiques.

This past Saturday featured delectable innovative American cuisine from celebrity hotspot Southampton Social Club. To keep guests hydrated they enjoyed drinks from Vita Coco Coconut water. Guests could enjoy a variety of cocktails, and Aperol had its own table featuring a few specialty drinks. Alex and Ani had a pop up boutique where people could purchase a variety of bangles and bracelets. Sector watches were on display in the VIP tent. Guests enjoyed music by DJ Air Loom and were entertained by magic tricks by magician Kevin Nicholas.

The Bridgehampton Polo Club partnered with Donna Karan this year and will feature The Urban Zen Lounge where the Urban Zen Retail Collection is available and benefits Hope Help and Rebuild Haiti. The collection includes beaded necklaces, tee-shirts, and vases.

The CIRCA Championship Field for The Monty Waterbury Cup is from July 23 to August 13, 2011 and the Hamptons Cup is from August 13 to August 27, 2011. Proceeds from Bridgehampton Polo Club will go to benefit the Bridgehampton Childcare and Recreational Center.
