Broadway producers Stewart F. Lane, Ted Hartley and Bonnie Comley took home top honors at the 2013 Oliviers for “Top Hat”. The musical received three Laurence Olivier awards for Best New Musical, Best Choreography, and Best Costume design and was nominated for seven including, Best Actor in a Musical, Best Actress in a Musical, Best Set Design and Best Sound Design.
The musical is filled with the glamour of Hollywood’s golden age and topped off with the tap-dancing magic of Hollywood legends Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. “Top Hat” brings many of Irving Berlin’s greatest hits including “Cheek to Cheek”, “Puttin’ on the Ritz”, “Top Hat”, “White Tie & Tails” to the West End in London. The show, directed by Matthew White, currently stars Tony and Olivier award nominated Gavin Lee as Jerry Travers and Broadway leading lady Kristen Beth Williams as Dale Tremont.
