Since 1992, Wall Street Bead & Jewelry Exchange has been dedicated to supplying jewelry designers, craftspeople, and hobbyists with a complete selection of beads and findings from around the world. The professional staff creates one of a kind jewelry pieces available for sale or to inspire their clients to create their own designs.
On a recent trip to the store families and friends were gathered picking beads and settings. People literally rushed me into the store at the opening bell. Wall Street Bead specializes in semi-precious and precious gemstone beads and custom 18-20k gold beads, clasps and findings from India. So exotic and located right in the heart of Southampton Village!
Ellen Paster, the lucky owner of Wall Street Bead travels frequently to India where she selects unique vintage Indian pendants, earrings, bracelets, amulets, and clasps. These one of a kind pieces contain gemstones set in high karat gold using traditional Kundan settings. The reverse sides are usually adorned with intricate colorful enamel work called Minakari, a traditional craft from Jaipur, India. In their workshop many of these pieces become more personalized by the addition of freshwater pearls and/or gemstone and/or gold beads.
In addition, Wall Street Bead and Jewelry Exchange carries a complete selection of Swarovski crystals from Austria, glass beads from Czechslovakia, Delica beads from Japan, and bone, wood, cinnabar, cloisonné beads and freshwater pearls from China. The vast selections of clasps include many sizes of lobster claws and toggles in silver, gold plate and 14k gold. Besides the unique selection of 18k gold beads and clasps produced exclusively in India, the store supplies 22k gold beads, clasps and findings from their workshop in Bali.
