Southampton - Parrish Presents, the
Parrish Art Museum's popular Thanksgiving weekend sale, will kick-off with the Preview Cocktail Party for Benefactors, Patrons, Sponsors, and Friends on Friday, November 27, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by the General Sale, which is open to the public, on Saturday, November 28, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 29, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Co-chairs of Parrish Presents are
John Bjørnen and
Celeste Wecker.
Parrish Presents has four components: The Market, The Gift Bazaar, The Silent Auction, and The Book Signing. The Silent Auction will feature designer handbags, lavish jewelry, fashion show tickets, and one-of-a-kind trips. This year's offerings include a one-week stay at a private villa in Cap Cana Oasis in the Dominican Republic. Bidding for the auction begins at 5 p.m. Friday and closes promptly at 3 p.m. on Sunday.

The Gift Bazaar, located in the Museum's concert hall, offers a wide range of luxury items from such specialty merchants as Antique Rug Galleria, Artikay Cashmere, Black Cat Books, The Bruce Murray Collection, Hampton & Co., LSC Designs Fine & Estate Jewelry, Lynch's Garden Center, and Walker Antiques, among others.
The Carroll Petrie Center for Education, adjacent to the Museum, houses The Market, where the smart shopper can find new and gently used home furnishings, antiques, jewelry, silver, fine linens, china, pillows, fashion accessories, and much more.
The Book Signing provides an opportunity to meet with noted authors at the Preview Cocktail Party on Friday. This year's line-up features
Leslie Banker and
William Mullins ("Britannia in Brief: The Scoop on All Things British"),
Nancy Corzine ("Nancy Corzine: Glamour at Home"),
Diane Tuft ("Unseen: Photographs by Diane Tuft") and
Stan Herman ("American Fashion Cookbook"). Presigned copies of "Delicious Flavors" by
Victoria Amory will also be available.
Tickets for the Preview Cocktail Party: Market, Gift Bazaar, Silent Auction, and Book Signing open for Benefactors, Patrons, Sponsors, and Friends on Friday, November 27, for Benefactors ($1,000), Patrons ($500), Sponsors ($300), and Underwriters; 5:30 p.m. entry for Friends ($125 Parrish members and $175 Non-members). General Sale: Market, Gift Bazaar, and Silent Auction open to the public on Saturday, November 28, and Sunday, November 29. Admission for the General Sale is $5 per person, free for Parrish Members and children age 18 and under.
